Camels at Petra - characters, all and how vain. Not that you could blame them; look at those wonderful saddlebags. I like the one with the great teeth and the one sleeping with her head in the sand.

I recall the camels at Petra, as well as the horses and burros which served as transportation for legions of white-gloved elderly Japanese tourists.
I am especially fond of one photo I have of a Jordanian man holding a cigarette while his camel appears to puff away. I wonder what brand the cigarettes were...
