Coming down the walk to the Church of the Primacy of Peter, built by Franciscans in 1938 on the foundations of a Byzantine church. This is where Jesus is said to have appeared to his disciples after the Resurrection and given the leadership to Peter. Visitors, as David is doing here, often take pebbles from the lakeshore to give to sick and grieving friends and relatives.
